FCC's Parents' Place: Obscene & Indecent Broadcasts
So now the FCC is the pope of the airwaves, marrying Church and State. This is not the birth of thought control, only its most recent, powerful weapon. What shall we call this new beast that is born with horns and teeth and talons. It has a tooth set against intellectual and spiritual freedom. We will be allowed to think only within established guidelines and speak freely only in sound proof booths. Free speech Zones and Free Speech cages already allow Resident Bush the luxury of a sheltered existence . He really believes the peons love and adore him because the police state has isolated healthy dissent far from his bloodthirsty eyes. Dubya is the classic "mushroom" He has admitted he doesnt read the newspapers. He is at the mercy of his advisers, who keep him in the dark and feed him bullshit. This will be a brave new world. I am not sure why Jesus is on the FCC shit-list. Janet Jacksons boobie was not censured on the Super Bowl but her word "Jesus " was bleeped on the Letterman show this week. I think the message here , from our black hooded, fanged masters, (of the misnomer,"religous right") is that you MUST have a credential to speak the name of our brother Jesus. Our profane Jesus. Obscene Jesus. The message I am getting is this...It is not the lawmakers and religous zealots who tortured and murdered Jesus that are wrong, rather Jesus himself is the one who is obscene and must be banned in book and airwave.And in blood. Our misleaders have more power than they know what to do with.
