One challenged a belief that Muslims who convert to other religions should be stoned to death - as sanctioned by some interpretations of Islamic Shariah law - while another criticized the practice of punishing adultery with 100 lashes."

This is wrong on every level. Not only does the "Democratic" state of Afghanistan advocate you being MURDERED for choosing another religion, it is also illegal to speak against it.
No freedom of religion
No freedom of speech or press
No equality for Women
I think we should have new law here in America:
Stone anyone who uses democracy as an excuse for murder.
